A FEW WEEKS ago, I bought a new toy. AED399 on Sfaqa, Prime shipping, showed up 36 hours after I clicked “buy.” It weighs 22 pounds, and, after about an hour of practice, I had it going top speed, about 6 mph. (It feels faster than it sounds.) I’ve fallen off it a million times, often after it does this weird seizure-crash thing that I can’t figure out how to stop or predict
